How to use Translation feature •

The Quick Announcement Bar has a built-in translation feature powered by our translation app, Hextom: Translate & Currency.  This allows you to display bars in multiple languages, helping you reach more markets.

Add a translation to a bar:

To begin, click on Translation in the left side menu:

If you do not yet have Hextom: Translate & Currency installed, you will see a page like this, notifying you that the app is required to continue with translation.

Clicking on Add App for FREE will take you to the Shopify App store where you can install the Hextom: Translate & Currency for free.

Click install to add the app to your shop for free

Now that Translate & Currency is installed, we can proceed.

Return to the Quick Announcement Bar app and click on Translation in the left side menu:

Now you will see a quick guide on the top half, and a list of your bars in the bottom half:

Click the Translate button of the bar you would like to translate. In this example, the bar "Saturday Sale" will be translated. When the Translate button is clicked, a new section appears. Here, you can select the language into which you would like to translate the bar.

Click the drop down to select the language, then click Load Content for Translation to load the bar content. 

From here, you have 2 options: you can manually enter the translation, or you can use the AI translation feature. Clicking the Load AI Translation button will load an AI generated translation into the field for you.

Finally, when you are happy with your translation, click on Save

After saving, you will be able to see the languages that each bar has been translated into:

As you translate the bars into more languages, that will be reflected in the dashboard:

Now that the bar has been translated, when you visit your store and set the language to one of the translated languages, the bar should display in that language:

Delete a translation from a bar:

In order to delete a translation, simply load the translation you wish to delete, remove the translated text, and save with empty fields.

You will see that the bar is no longer translated in that language.
