How do I test if my Geo Targeting works? (QAB)

If you have created quick announcement bars that target various countries, you may want to test if they are working properly.

Testing Visitor Location Targeting requires knowledge of how VPN and browsers work together. We recommend asking your developer to test it for you. The easiest way to test it is to ask a person from the targeted location what they see.

Using a VPN to test Visitor Location Targeting is not always accurate. Various factors could affect the result, such as the browser cache and wrong IP address.

When you test it, please visit whatismyipaddress.com on the same browser and the same tab to verify your IP and simulated location.

If your IP is correct and the Visitor Location Targeted message still doesn't show, please send us a screenshot and the IP shown on whatismyipaddress.com. We can then further investigate the reason it did not work during your test.
